A professional pet groomer based in San Diego, California, is taking the internet by storm with his stunning recreations of wild animals using family pets. The 30-year-old businessman who goes by the name Gabriel Feitosa brings about the changes using a non-toxic and vegan dye called OPAWZ, a product created for use with dogs.
Over the last few years, the internationally awarded dog grooming artist has been amassing millions of views on TikTok for his incredible talents. His pet grooming business skyrocketed through the pandemic and is presently deemed the best dog grooming service in San Diego.

So far, Gabriel has groomed family dogs to like various wild animals including red foxes, zebras, giraffes, leopards, tigers, and pandas. He shares videos of the mind-boggling transformations to his TikTok account, which has 1.7 million followers as of the time of this writing. In some of Gabriel's videos, the reactions of pet owners after seeing their fur babies emerge from the transformation salon are virtually as priceless as the transformations themselves. Nevertheless, Gabriel often receives negative comments from fans who think of his creative works as animal abuse despite using pet-friendly dyes that are made for dogs.
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Gabriel explained that he aspired to become a grooming artist at the age of twelve after bringing his sister’s dog to a grooming shop in São Paulo, Brazil. Gabriel said he found what the groomer was doing for a living fascinating. By fascinating, Gabriel meant that the groomer was getting paid to spend the days around puppies.
Gabriel eventually asked the groomer to teach him to bathe and dry his sister’s pup. The groomer agreed and it became an after-school job for Gabriel, who came from a very humble background and a family that didn’t have much.
Gabriel was soon drawn to spending a lot of time around puppies and eventually came up with an immense variety of looks and techniques to groom dogs.
